BUICK 1938 STEERING WHEEL REBUILD

Steering wheel came to us practically as a core only. We rebuilt ( we are not recasters) the wheel including all of the spokes. Badges were hand enamelled.

New handmade 4mm spokes,  ready for bending.

                                     Assembled hub. Dog legged spokes and mounting blocks.

                          Wheel  complete with extra bonnet ( hood) badges hand enamelled.

VOLVO 1937

This quite rare 1937 banjo Volvo steering wheel was in a very sad state. We completely rebuilt the steering wheel, using a superior method - re attchment of spokes to rim.  The final plasticised finish complimented the original centre emblem surround.
Customer prefered leaving the surround as original rather than match exactly to the rim.
It is never an exact science, however we were all quite delighted with the final result. Wheel should blend in very nicely with the art deco colour scheme.

VW "Beetle" 1963

We pearled his steering wheel in custom dual colours to match the paint.

LINCOLN 1949

It has been a couple of years now since we completed this wheel.
When John Campanella of CA USA sent his wheel out to us. He wanted to have the final finish in a subtle walnut, to to be complimentary to the interior of his '49 Lincoln.
John took some time to finish his project, however "WOW" well worth the wait.
The paint colour in particular is spectacular which is as you would expect as John works for Nasa and was responsible for painting the first and second " Mars cars".

........We put our little stamp on this wheel with a custom candy green pearl.

...........I thought it came up well.

CHEVY 1957 YELLOW PEARL STEERING WHEEL
